Morgan appeared in a film about AIDS recognition and treatment, Safe Sex for Men and Women. The proceeds from the film went toward the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has spearheaded numerous other fundraisers for the disease as well as testified before a special Congressional panel on AIDS education. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Amfar and on the board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop's former assistant surgeon general asked her from time to time to be his substitute during AIDS awareness activities. She also was host of a AIDS Awareness Special presented by Steve Bell. Ted Koppell asked her to appear twice on Nightline in relation to AIDS. Morgan has been nominated by the Emmys for Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially specifically for Morgan. In the spring, she starred alongside Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. Summer began with Murder At The PTA Luncheon. Productions like Von Zerneck/Sertner also featured Cindy Williams and Marla Gabbs. Then, she was transported to Luxembourg to film the Harmony Gold's Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee also appeared in the production. Morgan also appeared in the psycho thriller made by USA Network. The film received one of the greatest ratings of all time.
